Belfast Rainbow Tango
Queer Tango is a global movement to create inclusive and diverse space to dance Argentine Tango. This means celebrating gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender dancers. It also means celebrating any dancers who want to experiment with different approaches to gender and roles while dancing Argentine Tango, such as women who want to lead, men who want to follow, and dancers who want to change roles while dancing.

FIRST LGBT TANGO MILONGA
Tired of going to the same old places every week and listening to the same old music? Do you long to dance in the arms of another person instead of dancing yards apart? Then come along to the first every LGBT (straight friendly) Tango and Milonga (tango party) in Rainbow Belfast (poster below).
Here's what people who dance tango say about it:
Love is TANGO and TANGO is love! Yes, it is a dance, yet so much more then just any dance. It is an ongoing conversation between two souls, two hearts and two bodies. It is a sacred dance we enter in with one another'
... 'The tango is an embrace in movement. Two people enter a dialogue through their bodies, guided by music. Two strangers become one for the duration of the dance. Two opposites come together briefly to create the fantasy of a harmonious whole'
'Life is like Tango... sad, sensual, sexy, violent and quiet'
'In tango, heaven comes from getting out on the dance floor with the person that happens to be right for the moment, opening one's heart and falling in love again. The times that this happens, one is just happy to be in the arms of another'.
